A Celebration of Life!
The idea for this exhibition started in Autumn of 2022. We had held a very successful exhibition of crafts in 2019, showcasing the amazing talents and creativity of members of our village community. All manner of handiwork, needlework, woodwork, embroidery and tapestry was on display all to a wonderfully high standard.
With the passing of pandemic restrictions, we wanted to do something else to rejoice in the wonderful place in which we are all privileged to live. West Hill is a talented community so what better than celebrating the lives of people in the village. The exhibition comprised items of clothing or accessories and the life stories of the participants.
We had wedding dresses, policeman’s hats, boiler suits, air crew uniforms, an opera costume and racing overalls – and some fascinating stories.
The Life! exhibition ran from Friday 30th June to Sunday 2nd July 2023.
