St Michael’s Church Project: NACRE

Firstly, we want to say again, ‘Thank you’ to everyone who has helped us in any way to raise the money that is enabling us to do what we can to reduce the carbon footprint at St Michael’s. (Nacre stands for Narthex and Church Refurbishment.)
By the time you read this, the Narthex refurbishment will be almost complete. This includes new windows, upgraded insulation, better lighting and improved IT and we hope a much brighter and more welcoming feel to the place. As with any project, there might be items like new furniture and furnishings to complete this part of our project, but we are excited to see the finished work and look forward to welcoming you, so you can see where the money generously given by the community and matched by the diocese, has been used.
So that is Part One of the project, watch this space for notice of the next phase.         Pam Johns Churchwarden

OTTERY FOOD BANK

1st June

Rather surprisingly we have been quite quiet recently.
The only shortages are:
Custard
Rice pudding
Garden peas
Sweetcorn
We still have an excess of beans and porridge oats.
We have very few requests for baby milk or baby food so don’t need any more.
Thanks, Chris

Food donations may be left in the box at the back of St Michael’s Church.
If you wish to make a monetary donation, please mail for our bank account details.
